B U S I N E S S Designing Change: Learn to Lead Transitions in Any Organization C hange doesn’t happen as the output of one person, no matter how enthusiastic or talented. Most successful transformations, new offerings, or even simple modifications are the result of negotiated co-creations, engaged stakeholders, and the strategic application of design frameworks. This course is intended for a new breed of leaders who want to make real, lasting, impactful change with less of the disruption and resistance it normally elicits. The instructors share decades’ worth of real- world examples and practices from leading design professionals on how to embrace change as a leader and how to build systems, structures, and processes that can help change succeed in organizations at any scale. The course will cover important topics such as countering resistance, determining focus, finding collaborative partners, envisioning outcomes, and incremental scaling. The workshop approach will allow students to practice their learning as well as reflect on how the principles and practices can be applied in their own organizations. Students will leave the course with a framework for navigating and designing change confi- dently and collaboratively.
